안녕하십니까? 주안에서 앞선 형제들을 통해 보여주신 말씀으로 많은 힌트를 얻음에 감사를 드립니다. 거듭남 성도라면 누구나 구원의 복음을 위해 최선을 다하여 전해야 하겠지만, 교회(구원받은 모임)의 예배생활 또한 그에 견줄 만큼 중요하다고 생각합니다. 어떤 모임은 일방적인 설교를 듣는 것이 예배라고 생각을 합니다. 또 어떤 모임은 성만찬 예배를 드리며, 주의 죽으심을 찬양하며 계시집회의 형태를 가지고 예배를 드리나 자매들은 오직 잠잠해야만 합니다. 또 어떤 모임은 성만찬 예배를 드리며 주님의 부활을 찬양하며 선포식 집회로 예배를 드리나 영혼의 참 만족이 적음을 느낍니다. 어떤 형태로 예배를 드리든 각 교회에는 그에 걸맞은 하나님의 인도가 있으시기에 각 모임의 예배를 참석하여 보면 영적으로 느껴지는 것이 있고, 배우는 것이 있는 것 또한 사실입니다. 한가지 아이러니한 사실은 한국의 각 모임마다 본인들의 모임이 가장 영적인 모임이고 영과 진리로 예배를 드리고 있다고 생각을 하는 것 같습니다. 성경적인 예배방식과 딕 욕 형제님이 매주일 모이는 모임에서 예배를 드리는 방식에 대하여 듣고 싶습니다. 주안에서 평강이 형제님께 계속 임하길 기도합니다. 감사합니다.

I think every congregation believes they are doing things right; otherwise they would be doing it differently. The error would be if they thought that it was the form that pleases the Lord. Obviously we should do what we believe is right and we should endeavor to do it in the fashion we believe to be correct. However, the Lord is very aware that we are dust and that there is no way that our most diligent efforts to be right could satisfy his perfection. So God is not looking at that. You are right, sincere and devout believers everywhere are doing things differently according to their understanding. But what God is looking at is the heart. Jesus told the woman at the well, "The hour cometh when ye shall neither in this mountain nor yet at Jerusalem worship the Father...But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit; and those that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." (John 4:21-24). We can be letter-perfect in form, but the letter killeth, the Spirit giveth life. (2 Corinthians 3:6).
저는 모든 모임이 자신들이 올바르게 행하고 있음을 믿는다고 생각합니다.
그렇지 않으면 다르게 행하고 있겠지요.
그들이 주님을 기쁘시게 하는 것이 형식이라고 생각하고 있다면 잘못된 생각입니다.
분명히 우리는 우리가 올바르다고 생각하는 것을 해야 하고 우리가 옳다고 믿는 방식대로 행하도록 노력해야 합니다.
그러나 주님께서는 우리가 먼지뿐임을 아시고, 올바르게 행하려는 가장 공들인 노력일지라도 그의 완전함을 만족시킬 수 없다는 것을 아십니다.
그렇기 때문에 하나님께서는 그것을 보시지 않습니다. 형제의 말이 맞습니다.
어디에 있든지 신실하고 경건한 신자들은 그들의 이해에 따라 서로 다르게 행하고 있습니다.
그러나 하나님께서 보시는 것은 마음입니다.
예수님께서 우물가의 여인에게 이같이 말씀하셨습니다.
“이 산에서도 말고 예루살렘에서도 말고 너희가 아버지께 예배할 때가 이르리라 …… 아버지께 참으로 예배하는 자들은 신령과 진정으로 예배할 대가 오나니 곧 이 때라 아버지께서는 이렇게 자기에게 예배하는 자들을 찾으시느니라 하나님은 영이시니 예배하는 자가 신령과 진정으로 예배할지니라.” (요한복음 4:21-24)
우리가 형식에 있어서 문자적으로 완벽할 수 있습니다.
그러나 문자는 죽이는 것이고, 영은 살리는 것입니다. (고린도후서 3:6)
We know that worship involves breaking bread, and breaking bread is "In remembrance of Him". So if we are breaking bread, but our hearts are far from him, what is the purpose? If we are doing it right, but not in spirit and in truth, what is the purpose? God is not worshiped or honored. If our form is somewhat imperfect, but we are worshiping from our hearts in spirit and in truth, that is acceptable to God. There is one right way to worship God, in spirit and in truth. forms, obviously, are subject to interpretation.
우리는 예배에 떡을 떼는 것이 포함됨을 알고 있습니다.
그리고 떡을 떼는 것은 “그를 기념하는 일입니다.”
그러므로 우리가 떡을 떼면서 우리 마음이 그에게서 멀다면, 무엇이 목적이겠습니까?
우리가 그것을 올바르게 행하지만 신령과 진정으로 하지 않는다면 무엇이 목적이겠습니까?
하나님께 예배 드리지 않고 영광 돌리지 않는 것입니다.
우리의 형식이 다소 불완전할지라도 우리 마음에서 신령과 진정으로 예배 드린다면 그것이 하나님께서 받으실 만한 예배입니다.
하나님께 예배 드리는 한 가지의 옳은 방법은 신령과 진정으로 예배 드리는 것입니다.
형식은 명백히 해석을 따라 가게 되어있습니다.
In our congregation we are as wrong as anyone else if what we do is simply a matter of the form it takes. We would hope that everyone involved is worshiping in spirit and in truth; but we know that that is probably not the case. Those who are not, are doing it wrong. Those who are worshiping the Lord in spirit and in truth are doing it right. So we are all partaking of the same form, but some are right and some are wrong. God is looking at the heart. But our meetings are open and are not always exactly the same. Sometimes there is much participation, sometimes not, but the oportunity is always there for those who are led by the spirit to minister the word, or testimony or song or to pray. We break bread together, usually toward the early part of the meeting, but sometimes later according to the leading of the Lord. We have a time of structured teaching, and the rest of the time is open for preaching, teaching, exhortation, praise, or whatever other ministry God may direct the saints to bring. We generally close with a time of prayer for the needs of the saints, missionaries, our nation, etc. From time to time the meeting is followed by a meal together. Our hope is that Jesus will always be the focus of our meeting.
모임에서 우리가 하는 일이 단지 진행되는 형식에 불과하다면 우리도 다른 사람들과 마찬가지로 잘못된 것입니다.
우리는 참여하는 모든 사람들이 신령과 진정으로 예배하기를 바라지만, 아마도 그렇지 않을 것이란 것을 알고 있습니다.
그렇게 하지 않는 사람들은 예배를 잘못 드리는 것입니다.
신령과 진정으로 주님을 예배하는 사람들이 예배를 올바르게 드립니다.
그러므로 우리가 모두 동일한 형식에 참여하고 있더라도 몇몇은 올바르게, 몇몇은 올바르지 않게 예배를 드립니다.
하나님께서는 마음을 보십니다.
저희 모임은 열려있고, 항상 똑같지는 않습니다.
어느 때는 많은 참여가 있고, 또 어떤 때는 그렇지 않습니다.
그러나 성령에 이끌려 말씀을 전하거나, 간증을 하거나, 찬송을 하거나 기도하는 사람들에게 기회는 항상 있습니다.
저희는 함께 떡을 뗍니다.
보통은 모임의 초반에 떼지만, 종종 주님의 인도에 따라 후반에 뗄 때도 있습니다.
저희는 미리 정해진 가르치는 시간이 있지만 나머지 시간은 설교나 가르침, 권면, 찬양, 혹은 하나님께서 성도들을 이끄시는 대로 섬기는 다른 어떤 일에도 열려있습니다.
저희는 보통 성도들과 선교사들, 나라와 기타 등등의 필요를 위해 기도하는 시간으로 모임을 마칩니다.
때때로 모임 이후에는 함께 식사를 하기도 합니다.
저희의 소망은 예수님이 항상 우리 모임의 초점이 되는 것입니다.
